Raven: Raven's name is actually Schwann Oltorain. He used to be a knight and was killed more than 10 years ago in a war. His commanding officer ressurected him by implanting a blastia (magic rock) in his chest. The blastia is visible when he removes his shirt. He's very sensitive about this, being dead, and being called "Schwann"--especially since "Schwann" survived the war and his lover at the time did not.
Nash: He's very proud of being "a magician from the city of Vane" but he's not from Vane. The game never says where, but I theorize he's actually from the prairie tribes--a nomadic people in his world.
